Comm’s Tidy Up



RGI Solutions is a long-standing CCS IT Solutions Ltd client. As their network recently expanded due to new hardware, we advised that their communications cabinet required a ‘tidy up’ to make sure it remained accessible and functional for the future, including growth. The biggest challenge with this kind of project is the small window of opportunity we have available to complete the changes, ensuring that this doesn’t impact the business’s operations.


The Process

We began the process at 5 pm on a Friday evening to avoid disruptions and removed the old cabinet first. Secondly, we identified all the cables as an integral aspect of this work, saving installation time later.  

We were joined on-site by Myriad Electrical, our trusted partner, for all data cabling projects. With their expert team, we fitted a new larger cabinet and made sure this was back online, ready for Monday morning.

The Outcome 


All cables were terminated and tested, and all comm’s back online within the time agreed with our client.
We also had senior engineers on-site and available the next day to make sure all staff could work with a few small issues resolved quickly throughout the day.
